Sounds great. I had been thinking I might do the LS swap on one of my trucks. If you do install one keep me posted.

Re: Ol Blue

I just bought I suburban like yours.... kinda.. I think I'll wait till I've had it at the house for about a month and then start a thread. Then people will be all like "wow that guy is really talented, he changed the door lock knobs in the same day he got them!!!!" Just saying

Re: Ol Blue

Just saw your a/c set up, best I have ever seen. Now that I see one I like, I may even consider one for my build. But we don't live in the devastating heat you do. 117 degrees is what we bake potatoes at.

That is such a nice truck ! It deserves that pretty front grille. The hard work was really worth the time !!

Life has really been cutting into my hobby time. For the most part I have just been driving it. I did a little update with the transmition pan and swapped
Out the wheels and caps. New tires have raised letters so I thought black rims might set it off

Looks great! Glad to hear you are getting some use out of your 'Burb! I drive mine way more than I work on it. I'd love to do more to her, but time and money seem to be in short supply.

Agreed Its a Derale pan. I figured a little extra capacity and some extra cooling cant hurt in the AZ summers.

Re: Ol Blue

Sadly I have been making slow progress on the old suburban. I upgraded the tail lights to LED and replaced the exhaust system. I took the lazy path and picked up the Flowmaster system. I only had to make the pipe from the header to the system so it was a quick few hour install. It fit great and sounds how I had hoped.

LED lights make a great improvement. I should have done this a long time ago.

Actually, I think that driving, maintaining, and adding periodic upgrades is a great way to go. I get trapped into project mode and then a vehicle sits forever without being on the road. Not why I bought it, and not good for the rig. Keep at it man, it's cool. And people who ask you when you're going to paint it don't understand that there's something cool about keeping up old paint.

Thanks. I’m happy to report this is still my daily. I’m guilty of diving into projects and having them apart for years so I tried to keep this to easy stuff I can knock out in a weekend. I ordered a rear swaybar and a few other minor parts for it. I have been trying to get my long over due 56 back on the road. It’s been eating most of my hobby funds. I finally got some of the electrical stuff worked out and I’m working on finishing up the engine to get it back in.

Re: Ol Blue

The suburban I sold when I started this project is back on the road and I got the chance to get a few pic’s together. Both suburbans need plenty of work but we have been making great progress.
