thats exactly what mine looked like under a cover someone had added, the upholstery guy tried to tell me it was a 95 or newer but I got it from a 93 suburban, and they only used those floor brackets on 88-94.

he had to cut the "dents" out of the back, is why it mattered to him.

I plan on leaving the back cushion as is and eliminating the headrest. They had earlier seats that were flat but nowhere near as comfortable.

1995 Chevy 1500 truck. 88-95 should be similar.

Re: Starting a 52 Chevy 3100 Project.

I am going to have them do them something similar to my Model A seats except the center is going to be cloth. Dark Gray vinyl on the outside and a lighter gray cloth material on the inside.

Is this mounted on a standard 3100 pedestal, or did you have to modify?

I cut out all the stuff from the 3100 pedestal I think it is on page 2 of this thread and used the one from the donor seat. It fits perfectly. I just have to drill some holes. I have heard of guys leaving them in but I like all the room under the seat it gives me.

Nice, hoses seem right at home. You going with the EGR delete?
I have been trying to run the EGR on my Swap but the free flowing exhaust is messing with it and causing idling issues. I may have to try the delete and chip program if it works for you.

Love the orange with the valve covers, looks nice together.

Thanks I am going to try and do it without the egr but will put the sensor in place. I am thinking about leaving the catalytic converter on it so it doesn't smell like gasoline.

You should. My paint is far from show. At least it's one color inside.

It has steering and brakes now.

Not progressing as fast lately. Some motivation showed up on my door step in the form of gauges.

Nice gauges. I'm having trouble being motivated also and my next purchase happens to be the need for some nice gauges. Which ones did you decide on and are you using a GPS speed sensor?

Looking good. As asked above, what gauges and what type of speedometer set up?

A whole generation grew up with S10s as THE status vehicle de jour. It's natural that when this group matures and branches into other hot rodding disciplines they still feel comfy with the S10 format - even if it's not really the best means to the end. Hot rod builders can be sheep; in some article somewhere, somebody had an awesome AD on S10 and soon every reader in the country has to have that combo. I can go through Ebay and count the botched-up AD trucks on S10 frames; they're easy to spot, with the super-shallow beds, 3-inch thick spacers to get the track out where it should be, and wheels not centered in the wells. I'd say one in 10 gets it right, mostly because - as the OP said - they " read everything on the s10 swap," meaning they all read the same online threads and they all do it exactly the same - even if it's wrong.
I have read 100 fold ways to swap an S10’s frame under a 52 chev. I want a different look and stance. I’m thinking of doing a 68 frame with a 327 turbo 350 package. Anyone have experience with a similar swap ? I heard of a few 47-54 swaps onto mid 80’s full size but never into a full size 67-72 frame. Thoughts? Guidance ? Help?
