I'm looking for a nice set of front and rear 72 door panels with stainless trim if any one has any. Thanks in advance!

Wasn't sure I would like that, but the visual has me reconsidering. Dang it anyway, another item on the list of possibilities.

Nicely Done Rob..

Could you get a cargo light on a suburban or is that "custom"?

I saw suburban when I was in NM that had on installed and it was on the SPID. I'm guessing it was a dealer add on...

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

Finally got the door alignment close. I had bought 2 new door mechanisms (AMD), but they were junk. So I returned them and bought a set of NOS ones from boardmember 72MIKE. I also installed the front fenders just to see how everything lines up. I still have to pull them off one more time to do a couple more things, but they are close considering this is the first time they've been on in 9 years...... It almost looks like a truck now.....

The Burb is looking very good. The bathroom in the shop is a great idea too. Nice floor going in there.

Nice touch with that cargo lamp. It'd be cool to install a back up camera hidden at the bottom of it. That would give a nice view compared to one at the license plate height. That is a nice bathroom floor!

Thanks AD. I probably won't ever build another shop, so I wanted to do it right, .

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

My plumber installed the sink, toilet, sink and show yesterday, so the bathroom is officially done! So other than installing an 80 gallon air compressor and rearranging some stuff, operation "finish shop" is done, .

I am really interested in your paint scheme for my 72 4x4. Are you going to use any trim or will you leave it as is?

I went back through you're thread and saw the original build sheet. I'll be calling Mar-K. And thanks for putting those pics up, looks absolutely amazing. Thank you.

No problem!

****
I got the front fenders test fitted as well as putting my grill together (couldn't believe how much work that turned out to be....). I also, plumbed the heat exchanger for the S/C as well as changing the oil and coupler in the front snout. Nothing major, but progress none the less! Pictures for all you visual types, !

Truck looks great. I like the look without the trim as well.

Can you tell us more about what tail light you used and what you did to make them look the way they do?

ALOT!!!!! Waiting on some emblems, finish cleaning up the wiring under the hood, install the hood, grille, bumper, install the glass and mechanisms in all the doors, speakers, carpet, door panels, headliner, install the seats, install all of the outside trim....

They are factory truck tail lights. Basically, I cut the bed ends off a pickup truck and molded them into the back of the suburban.

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

Just picked up some Cheyenne door panels and inserts from a boardmember. I will need to paint them matte black. Not sure if I will redo the wood grain on the aluminum inserts or leave as is. I think they are pretty rare and not sure I have seen any like them before. Now all I need to find is the aluminum piece that goes on the glovebox door...
