I dont know though i still think its a reasonable question. The bodies are different from 67-72. Right!!! I personally like the 67 & 68 body style over the the later models. So let me Re-Phrase the question LOU what year body are you putting on this frame?

Re: For your viewing pleasure
Yeah the 67-72 vary some, but the picture I links from his original post is a 73-78 (looks to be a 1976 to me)

Re: For your viewing pleasure
SBTORK I love the stock exterior to me that is what makes the truck. Here are some more pictures. This is the front of the tranny crossmember I made it so it bolts to the frame.
These are the bushed rod ends that I get from my friend Todd at Knowbody Sheet Workz. I like them because you don't get alot of the road noise that come with hiems all the way around. The tubing is 1.375x .095 wall chrome molly 24" long. The shanks on all the ends is 3/4" the hiems are from Aurora. I need to mount the bars next I'll post pictures tonite.

Re: For your viewing pleasure
I got the rear suspension in all I have to do is mount the shocks. I'll do that after my milk and cookies.
The 2X4 will give me the space I need for the bars to clear the rails. As you guys can see because of the ride height I had to make stands. Ithink they came out pretty cool. That is it for now I domn't want to bore you guys to much.

Re: For your viewing pleasure
I decided to go with some simple shock mounts 1"X2". Cut one side at an angle weld a scrap piece of 1" .156 wall tubing. I would mount the fuel cell but I'm going to wait till I put the bed on that way I can put it the way I want it. The shocks are from AFCO I chose a set of 150 LBS springs. After all it is a pickup truck .
I have seen in some manuals and magazines that you should not install shocks at an angle greater that 30 degrees. I figure someone might want to know that. I'll build the core support and fuel cell mounts when I mount the body. I'll start a new thread for that.
