Looks like you have enough space on each end of brake lights to insert small white lights. Not duable?

Re: Project NiteMare-1970 C10 LWB build
Ya... That was the plan. Tryin to source a light that fits it all . I'm shaving the square marker lights off as well. I'm goin to fit some small bullet style markers in off a '68 charger/monaco. Always liked them.

Re: Project NiteMare-1970 C10 LWB build
Find a couple 800 lumen flash lights and gut them, and throw an extra power toggle switch to them to, it might get people to stop tailgating you someday if you flip the switch on them.

Re: Project NiteMare-1970 C10 LWB build
Another update... shootin for hidden fasteners with the wood floor. Welded a stop on some shorter rear mount bolts. Found some bright LED canon style lights to use for the backup lights. Wanted a rolled finish on the metal to finish the lights off... so I made a die to do this. (then went another route anyway... again. Wife shakin head again!) Used a cut 1" bolt, tacked a stack of washers together. Trimmed the underside of the bolt to length. Lay a piece of 18G and drive it home until mating surfaces meet. (arbor press would work better for this likely) Rolls and cuts in one step.

Re: Project NiteMare-1970 C10 LWB build
Chose a location to stick the lights... and started some bodywork after fabbing in mount assemblies for them. Started with the right side. This was the side I cut off and replaced the damaged tail piece

Wow, I love the craftsmanship! I'm glad I ran across this thread for the tailgate straightening job you did. That is something I'm going to have to tackle as well.

Re: Project NiteMare-1970 C10 LWB build
Thanks! Swap meet today.. picked up some goodies and sold a nice bench seat to a fellow board member.(real nice shape) I grabbed a 50's caddy air cleaner for my truck. And a nitrous kit. The air cleaner will take a modern element once I'm done with it.

Re: Project NiteMare-1970 C10 LWB build
Found just the bottom half and carb stud off an after market air cleaner at the meet today as well. Love this air cleaner. Finally nice enough outside I could open the shop door and look at the front of the truck.

It is an oil bath style swamp rat ... I primed them inside the shop. I cracked the door for some natural light.
