Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Thanks guys I appreciate the compliments! *It is a pretty clean old pickup for its age but it needs to be redone *If you click on my profile you can view my photo album, it has a variety of pics.*
As far as the rims, stripped the clear coat with paint remover and then started with 180 and stepped to 600 grit, at that point they were ready to be mechanically polished. *I took them to a polish shop and they took it from there. *I've done a couple sets of rims in the past but I no longer have a good buffer/stand. *The catch on the stk aluminum rim is they are only 7" wide but I do like the look. * When I repaint the pickup I'm thinking about chrome platting the rims.* Posted via Mobile Device |

Here's my beauty queen. All original 1973 Custom Deluxe, 350/350TH/205, D44/GM14 bolt, AC, P/S, wood floor bed. It' actually kinda rusty, but I like it like that.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Here's my 86. Bought her a few months ago with ozidized paint and 96K miles. She's running on a 305 and a 350turbo. I plan on dropping her 2.5/4 on some 18s in the next few months.
And here she sits now with about 4 hours worth of rubbing compound and wax put onto her! Last edited by OneClean86; 04-17-2012 at 12:10 AM. Reason: Images weren't showing! |

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Heres Mine. 1987 GMC V3500 Sierra Classic. Factory 454, Th400, 205 T-case, Dana 60, 14 Bolt. The original owner had the factory cab lights and tailgate lights mudded shut with some bondo but eventually as i get money that will get fixed when paint is done. its got a skyjacker lift, Centerline wheels and BFG A/T's. The interior is all original, except the stereo, and tach. its my baby i got it my senior year in high school and am still fixin it up during my first year in college. its hopefully gunna get a new paint job of the same style and colors except base coat/ clear coat, 91 suburban power mirrors, 91 suburban core support and grille, warn classic winch bumper, 12,000 lb warn winch, all new gm light grey interior, and a late 90's gm bench seat with the fold down console. oh, and a roller big block built up pretty good.

dont change the stacked headlights. 4 across 91 suburban lights are so nineties. i love the stacked headlights of 81-88. Very nice truck. single-wheel one-tons are my faves.
