Re: Put 'em to work pics !!!
Four wheeled Red down into the field by my house to clear out some firewood for the owner. He said "You know, we've had a few tractors stuck down there".
I had to at least try and ended up getting out without a problem and a full load of Acacia for this Winter.

Re: Put 'em to work pics !!!
I moved my mom from Antioch to Daly City. Even with all the stuff in there I was still able to put gas in the tank. If I had it in the middle of the bed it would not have happened.

Rented backhoe for some work around the house.
Knowing I had this heavy hauling job inspired me to finally do the rear airbag conversion.

Re: Put 'em to work pics !!!
hauling engines around. The short block you see near the tail gate is a 396 Hi Perf short block. Too bad it is probably junk. We hauled those from Santa Cruz. About 75 miles one way. I love that old Saginaw overdrive.

Re: Put 'em to work pics !!!
Here's my 63 hauling some pea gravel to extend the edge of the driveway a bit. The old bedliner that was in the truck when I bought it proved quite useful for this application. The other picture is from hauling home a 283 that will be a temporary replacement while I rebuild the 283 that is in it now. I've also hauled the v6 for my 95 Dakota to and from the machine shop, but I don't have a picture from that.

Re: Put 'em to work pics !!!
Finally getting around to building the "kid zone" in my yard. Last Sunday picked up about 1600lbs of block and steel for the perimeter curb. The old C20 rides pretty smooth loaded up. Still got a couple more Sunday's of working and Depot runs to do. While paying we saw a guy taking a pic of it, wish I could have gotten a pic of him taking a pic. Oh, and don't laugh at the fence boards, they will be replaced also. My wife saw the cut and looked at me like I was crazy (I spent 20yrs as a carpenter before management). Truth is, I cut it low and straight, then realized there was a rat/mouse run inside the fence, so I said F it & just whacked another foot or whatever off to clean all the debris out. I'll block it & replace boards to deter any future rodents.
Anyone else out there putting their trucks to work? |
