Not one of ours but you don't see much in the way of older vehicles up here so I though it was worthy

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

I've seen this truck for years at a local bar b que joint in columbus ga. Flat tires and weeds knee high all around. A week ago I jus curiously stopped and asked if it was for sale... $750 later and I own it! Best part is it runs and dump bed still lifts. The reason it sat was because of lack of mechanical knowledge on how to unstick the clutch from flywheel. By the way it's all original with 305 v6 and 4 speed manual.

Outstanding! Once in a while it pays to check. Nice looking truck at a great price.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

Seen this guy parked at a Landry place next to a gas station we stopped at. Of course I had to snap a pic.

When I was coming out of the station he was going in so I talked to him for a bit. He said it was a 1964.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

Two more.

This one was in a yard in my hometown in Alabama.

I was driving today and out of the corner of my eye I seen the nose of this sticking out of a barn. I turned around to have a look and took the pic. It is in Pearl River, La. Looks to be in really good shape too as if someone redone it not all that long ago. Its a stepside but hard to see from the picture.

You sure don't see that 'old school' rake as often these days.
Nice stance.

The old skool rake seems more hotrod(ish) doesn't it, kind of miss it myself with all the 20" plus rims out there, which I like but take away from the classic look and make them more modern, which we try to avoid buying, wow kind of a paradox (mixed bag).

I agree completely. I love the old skool 'hot rod' look. That's the look I'm going for with my '64 stepper. Not wanting to go full pro street, just want something that runs strong, but that I can cruise in, too. I guess it's also because I grew up in the '80's and that was the prevailing look. Maybe I'm just getting old!

I know a lot of guys probably think this look is dated, but I think that stance is absolutely perfect.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

Near Lindsay Ontario Canada. I saw these years ago but took a picture this morning.
Gmc and a Chevrolet.

West side of Holland, New York. Owner wasn't there but another told me the truck is originally from Texas. And that's what's stamped on the bumper. A/C truck. I was told it was for sale. A/C in crayon on the firewall.
The red rig across the street is my company truck. I was delivering boats in the area.

Then on the east side of Holland, the mechanic said it was a friend of the family. He just did a disk brake conversion.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

I decided search the forums to see if there is a thread dedicated to the 'old school' look and I found this cool thread:

Seen this one while out doing some work. Looks to be a 1964 judging by the badge on the side. What do you think?

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

Seen these when I went back to Alabama this weekend. There was actually at least three of them in the fence. I don't know why I didn't snap a picture of the third. There may have been at least one more though but I could not see enough to tell.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

Saw this one at Costco, same place I saw the last one. It's parked where the employees park, so I wonder if it has the same owner as the other one I saw.
