Question Re: Ice cream getter

The Quality time put in on the paint alone makes this a great truck, then you could pop the hood, Wow.... Interior is also Crisp, attention to detail. Excellent Super clean stunning amazing.....Can you come over now and help with my paint. (Oh yea and I call shotgun)

Beautiful truck! I have a question, how did you trim down your cooling fan wiring?

The stance, the smooth, and the GUMBALLS! Seems like no one runs shiny wheels and wide by tall tires any more. Me likey likey, and I ain't a 4x4 guy!

Re: Ice cream getter

Buck - I just chopped where I needed and re-terminated using weather pack connectors. Easy and clean.

Low – I guess I’m building this truck the way I wished I could have built the one I had when I was in high school. That one never made it past the primer stage. Come to think of it none of my early rides made it to paint. I loved those days of big dreams, no money and no worries! Life is good today but… I wouldn’t mind being 17-18, in the woods with my truck, a bunch of friends, a big ol’fire and hank jr or G&R cranked for just one more weekend.

Colorado - ????? What are you talking about ???? What about the blue beauty in your avatar?

Re: Ice cream getter

I spent a little time puttering with my parking lamps today. I picked up a pair of NOS lenses a couple of years ago and had a hard time just slapping them on to the old housings in the condition they were in. So… I blasted everything, repainted the white and then cleared over all. Throw in some new gaskets and little rubber bumpers and bam! One day of quiet relaxation time spent in the garage.

Thanks, I need to get a start up kit and tools so I can learn to build those connectors.

Re: Ice cream getter

Time for a small update. For absolutely no reason I decided to focus on the interior for a while even though there are plenty of other things that really should be finished first. The front half is pretty much finished. Back half is waiting on rear side panels so I started hanging exterior trim.

Re: Ice cream getter

Excellant work as usual, nice detail on the switches, wish i would have thought of that for the winter mornings. Oh well, maybe sheepskins in there to keep my arse warm

That whole truck is beautiful, that black and green really pops

I see the camero peeking out

Do those front seats have new foam? I notice the covers are perfect, absolutely no wrinkles anywhere. Also, which seat heaters did you use?

Re: Ice cream getter

Thanks all. The kind words are always appreciated and rewarding.

Tom the heaters are from Roadwire and the foam is new. I purchased the foam from Truckseats.

Low, yup. It’s not ready for these salty Michigan roads yet. Maybe next winter!

Jim that’s my Camaro peeking in the pictures but it’s more like a 3,000lb elephant in my garage. No time or money to work on it and it’s always in the way.

Jim I shouldn’t complain about not having enough room to work I can’t say I help myself out much. This is my most recent find that I had to drag home.

Re: Ice cream getter

Nice jeepster. You can't have to many convertible's. The Blazer looks super great! How come you don't have any out door pictures? That's what you built it for right. I think it's ready for that 'ice cream' run now.
Just kidding, the truck does look super great, though. Watching from Florida.

Re: Ice cream getter

Thanks ThreeQtr
Right now I wish I were watching from Florida too! Even if my Blazer were done, the ice cream would have to wait. I don’t think it will see Michigan “Winter Wonder Land” roads again. Not as long as it’s mine anyway.
