I buy the mag every once in a while, and I always keep the return form so I can subscribe but never do. your truck is lookin sweet. I just talked with a buddy about making some inner fenders for mine and doing bodywork and paint. Ill definitely keep it the same color, but shinny new, with a straight body. I was gonna do the slosh tubs but for the price I would rather get some that cover all the way down to the frame. are you gonna keep your molding on your truck? I cant decide if I want to put molding back on or not.

im def going with new molding. its easy to change it or add it. to me it gives it the extra pop. for me a scraper would take the old off easily. the molding comes in a roll. like 80 bucks for 30 feet. i think you just roll it out in the sun so it lays out flat, then cut it, peel and stick. im wondering if i would lay a tape line for the top edge, make sure its how i want it, then roll the whole side then slice at the end points? that would keep it super straight. but next im doing my bump stops and doing some sort of removeable false floor so i can throw my 89 Haro Master in and go street riding without worrying about the notch hole

yeah my dad is a pinstripper and he also does side moldings and chrome accessories, and whenever he did moldings, he would lay a vinyl or masking tape stripe first to line everything up. I would cover the holes in your bed for sure, I completely covered my bed back up and I get tons of compliments all the time for doing it. old people always come up to me at shows and go "Im glad you finished the bed, It looks so ugly when they dont"

Awesome but it sounds like the bottom is scraping. Was that your intention?
It looks a little too low bit otherwise awesome!

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab

Yeah I did the whole truck, I did 3 stages of compound buffing. my paint had zero shine to it, the whole truck was hit with a DA sander before I bought it. So I finally bit the bullet and spent 3 nights buffing. and then finished off with a hand wax. here are the results

I would say it is 100% worth the time. I was lucky enough to have a friend that had the compound and the buffing wheel already so it was all labor and no cost. and anyone who has seen my truck before will say how much better it is now.
