Did you ever get your frame to the shop?

It is on the trailer now getting ready to go there. Has to stop for breakfast first. He is only an 1/8 of a mile from where I am at. Had to load the frame myself and do some last minute things to it first.

Finally got it home. Had to finish putting all new rubber hose to connect the tanks to the transfer valve. Put the new cab mount bushings in and mounted the cab and bed.

Took me a little bit this morning as I had to push the frame up on the trailer myself. I got it done though. The cold weather really had me dragging my feet though. I need to see what I owe the shop before I go forward with anything else. There is some interior pieces that I want to buy from a member here but need to see where I am at and also waiting to hear back from shipping quotes. Burb buckets, console and dash. Hopefully every thing works in my favor. Will probably be buying some fatmat and doing the floors, back wall and maybe the roof. Atleast I can start putting everything back in under the dash.

I also noticed a crease in the bed on the passenger side. I guess I must of never noticed it since it was all sanded primer. I am going to have to ask about it though. Since it has that white paint on it the crease really sticks out.

I know the feeling man. I dropped off my dash and panels at the upholstery shop but am going to wait to see how much it is before I drop off the seat, lol. He gave me a quote on the seat but is charging me by the hour on the dash and panels. He said for custom work he charges by the hour and not the job. I just ordered the fat mat earlier this week and should be receiving it tomorrow. I'll send you a couple pictures once I get it installed.

After I pay my bill at the bodyshop it might take some time to build some funds again as I am at the end of what I have now. It may have to set for awhile but at least it is back home and I don't have to wonder about it.

I am kind of anxious to see how your interior comes out for you. The vision sounds promising.

Man I am telling you what, this weather sucks. -20 wind chills here the last few days and atleast for a couple more days. But even when it warms up it is still to cold to get out and do anything. I have a diesel fired torpedo heater that gets the garage nice and toasty but it gets expensive fast. Looking forward to you getting back on yours and seeing some pics. We'll all get there, just a day at a time.

I think I am about ready to pull the trigger on some interior pieces from a board member. 90 burb captians seats, console, dash and seat belts. Also thinking about the overhead console in it too. I will have to get the brackets from a burb and weld in. Then I can order some FatMat. Here are a few pics of look I am thinking about.

Not that I will be able to put them on for a while but got my wheel well moldings in today. Not bad for less than $40 for the trim.

Man that interior should look pretty sweet in your truck. One day I plan to get some buckets but I'm going to stick with the bench seat until my two boys are grown.

Getting the final details ironed out on the interior so hopefully it can get shipped here soon. Then I can get started mounting the seat so I can get the FatMat ordered and layed down.

Nothing to report. Just wish this dang cold weather would move out. Just too cold to go out and work on the truck and cost too much to keep running diesel through the heater.

On a plus note. I am sending payment on my seats, consoles,dash, etc. tomorrow. Member Crewcabshorty got all the parts in boxes and ready to ship. Just have to get payment to him so they can ship. Then at least I can start laying out the interior a little.

Just seen this today. This is the truck that I am basing my paint scheme off of. After going through all the pics of this truck that is for sale now I think I will have a nicer truck. Not knocking the truck by any means it just looks like it did not receive a full resto. Not real enthused on how the interior is in this one. They have one hell of a price on it too. I think the thing that makes this truck different is that it has an LS in it. So here is a link to it.

Wow, that is a beautiful truck but 22,500 seems a little steep! I'm ready to see your interior installed.

that price does seem steep... but, i thought about it, and i have about 10 grand in JUST my engine/tranny/rear for my truck...
about a grand for all stainless bolts etc.

thats not even counting ANY lowering stuff, brakes, rotors, rims, tires, paint, primer, radiator, fluids, cables, lines, fuel tanks,
as you all know, the list can go on and on...

so i can see how it adds up...

I do agree with the cost can add up in a hurry. I have a small fortune in mine already. I just think compared to what I am doing to mine and what has been done to that one, I am liking mine more at this point in time. Not trying to be biased but I have seen the build thread on this truck and don't believe the builder had done all the stuff I have to mine up to this point leading me to fell better about mine. Don't get me wrong I would take it. especially with the LS in it.

STILL waiting on my interior parts to get here. Been having a hard time getting a truck to pick them up for some reason. Seems like a theme with this build. Everything has taken forever it seems. Well I guess I got one thing right about it. Slow Build.

In all reality the build will be coming to a stand still after I get the Int. parts in. I am trying to start up another division to my business and I have to buy new equipment to make that happen. So I have been trying to set back for that. But hopefully if I can make that happen then that will make me more money to start back on the truck. This winter has been really hard on the business. I have taken a beating due to all this cold weather this year. Not a normal year for us.

Thanks. I am trying to start up a fleet washing business to add to my floor care business. I am hoping it takes off like wildfire. I am talking to alot of guys and have run with one of them and they are doing great in their business doing it. I am soo ready to hop in it and drive it. Seeing that nice paint laid on some of it makes me ready to see it finished. I am a year since I started tearing mine down. I thought I could have it put back together in a year but the body shop took forever and I have since bought two K30's so that didn't help any.

I sure hope so. I think I have to give up one of my K30's to start up.
