Sure does. I have a clean tailgate sitting in my garage just waiting to go on. But I have to cut off the mounting panel from the old lift gate that's welded on. That'll be fun.

Are you talking about Motor Machine Super Shop on Fair Oaks by Manzanita? If it is the place I am thinking of, I haven't dealt with them, but I have seen a lot of the cars they do. I used to work at Carmichael Honda motorsports and they used to test drive stuff up and down Fair oaks. If you are just getting an engine built, I have heard good things about them. If your doing a resto, there is a place in elk grove called Elk Grove Muffler and Brake, I know the name seems like an average shop, and until recently that was all they did, but they have moved into the field of full customs and resto's their work is really nice and the owner is pretty cool. I stop in their occasionally to get Ideas.

Worked on the truck for a few hours today. Get very little accomplished other than bolting up a door and fender multiple times to get the alignment close. Still not right. Ran out of steam and called it a day.

After waiting for over 2 months, finally said screw it and went into the DMV to get them to issue my registration and plates. Got 'em. Ol' Crusty is now legal to have on the road.

Sometimes it is worth it to sit at the DMV and wait for your number to be called to get your stuff.

Re: Project Coca-Rustola: '67 C20 Longstepper

Got my 3-pt shoulder belts installed and cleaned up the interior a bit. Need to make some adjustments to the clutch so the truck shifts down while in motion. Other than that, the truck seems to drive well. Has plenty of go, and stops when I hit the brakes. Surprisingly easy to steer even with no power steering. Was thinking of a power steering install, but not too sure now. Also slapped on my side mirror to my new drivers side door. Looks complete now.

Re: Project Coca-Rustola: '67 C20 Longstepper

Got a bit more done today, but found more problems that I need to fix. My rear cross member behind the rear end is busted and loose from the frame. My bedsides are pretty rotted too. But I took more pics, so there's that. Truck drives like a beast.

Re: Project Coca-Rustola: '67 C20 Longstepper

While I was working on Ol' Crusty today, the battery in my Tahoe died. I happened to park in in a spot where I couldn't reach for a jump. So I rigged up a cable, and towed my Tahoe with Ol' Crusty to a spot where I could get to it for a jump. Pulled like a boss.

Ol' Crusty is on the road! First fill-up in 30+ years and a little car show at Home Depot in West Sac. Loved the 65 Skylark stuffed with a 455. Georgeous!

Thanks Jimbo. I was a blast driving it around today. Ran like a top. The old exhaust is a little rough though. Got to get it to the muffler shop now.
