Re: Daverods project 66

Sprayed a bunch of bedliner in my doors and panels. Covered the panels with pea-ln-seal. Made them weight a bunch more should work good. Got my lower ball joint pressed in. Now gotta put it all back together. Ordered all new shocks and relocating hardware from cpp. Delux shock kit. Almost on the road again. Had to order a pressure swich for the accuair stuff. Can't believe it does'nt come with the kit.

I got one with the compressors but you need a special one for the accuair. They hit you up for another 50.

It so easy though. Even a caveman could do it. I'll bet by the time you add up all the valves and wiring and time it's not a hell of more. Looks a lot cleaner. Oh ya and it's smarter. And I can add on to it later.

Re: Daverods project 66

I looked at that one. I already had my tank and compressors though. I liked the idea of a big tank and dual compressors.

Re: Daverods project 66

Did some rattle can on my arms. Got the joints press in. Put it all back together. Found a bigger sway bar in my garage so I replace the one I had. Waiting on my front and rear shocks. Also got the shock relocating stuff.

What kind of front air bag set up are you using? The lower bag mount will screw up that nice paint.

Re: Daverods project 66

For now I'm just going with the hacked springs. Later I'll get lowered spindles and shorty exhaust. It's pretty low now with the spindles it will drag my exhaust. The paint cost about $5 and took about 5min. Now the cleaning is a different story.

Re: Daverods project 66

Cleaning is everything. I spent over a week cleaning the 57 Sedan Delivery I'm working on. I did the front part of the frame, and suspension. It was a mess. Then I made more of a mess with the sand blaster.

Re: Daverods project 66

been to a factory in germany once from mahle
the productionrun was for mercedes pistons and they each had the little logo stamped into them
after that they did a run for imitation/aftermarket pistons .......... they took out the logostamp and continued production
for some stuff you only pay extra for the logo

Re: Daverods project 66

Why sharpen them . Just keep your reciept and go get a new one. I broke the first one I had. They are brittle. I just returned it. Guaranteed for life.
