There's also no magic- this development takes time once the decision is made to produce a part. That LWB bedside was already in the works as was the '67-'68 grille that I'll post pictures of later when I return to my hotel. Performance style products aren't out of the question but restoration parts will always be where we spend the most effort. Some styling changes can be made in parts without a major investment others can't. I actually had someone at a trade show ask how much it would cost for a one-off set of LED taillights for their Torino....Thet would have been cool for them; but difficult for us to make our money back. |

Re: What parts aren't out there?
Something along the lines of this would work for a Burb/Panel 1/4 panel... Just an outer "skin" so to speak, with the correct wheel arch(not the LWB arch) and the gas fill, that would go from the door jamb to the tailgate jamb...

Re: What parts aren't out there?
Here's one that fetches a good price on the board (when they really are 72 style) 1972 style big block motor towers. Somebody can probably get you a good pair to reproduce.

Re: What parts aren't out there?
Well I read thru this whole thread and nobody mentioned what I need for my next project. I am sure that someone else needs these as well. I have looked all over and cannot find them. 67-72 stepside step hangers.

Re: What parts aren't out there?
I will add my vote for a good quality (thick) steel bed for an SWB fleetside.

I wish they would stamp the GMC chrome grill, eyebrows and header bar from aluminum and polish it, like the Chevy grilles.

Re: What parts aren't out there?
Why not offer a FULL door skin for the AD trucks(47-54)? They already make a complete door, why not also offer just the outter skin?
Also a roof skin for the 67-72 trucks would solve a good amount of rust issues.

I am still looking for a lower rear quarter section from a 6' fleetside bed. We would like to produce this part and need a sample. PM?

Re: What parts aren't out there?
What about a whole rear qtr panel for the 72 Blazer... (or has somebody else already said that). All I can find is a few small patch panels?

Re: What parts aren't out there?
A couple people have suggested it; as well as an outer skin. I need to find the production figures for the Blazer to see what potential numbers we're talking about.

Re: What parts aren't out there?
I went through that thread with the quality control people at the factory in Taiwan last week. I was assured they would address it but I have not heard anything specific to that issue yet.

Re: What parts aren't out there?
I need the clips that hold the eyebrows on for my 71 GMC. I can't find these being reproduced anywhere, and all but one of mine were either rusted to pieces or broken...

Re: What parts aren't out there?
check jandtautomotive.com in Syracuse, NY. You can download their fastener catalog from their site, AND I think they have a lot more than what's in the catalog
