where is the compressor mounted and what kind of compressor?
You might be able to just get a shorter belt to completely bypass the a/c

can get ac delete pulley at gm dealership around forty bucks or poormans probably the one on douglas has everything

Thanks guys. The lt1 is mounted on the lower passenger side of the motor. We had to take about a 2x8 section of the frame out to get it too clear. As of the type of compressor i do not know. I called oriellys and they have a new one for 185. I just wish i new someone that had a recovery system to suck the freon out so i atleast wont have to spend that money again.

Well i got the new compressor on and the a/c charged. It blows ice cold now! Bad news on the body guy the deal fell through. He kept wanting me to throw stuff in on our deal after we already shook hands so the hell with that. I took my guages apart the other night and cleaned them with a cue tip and i also installed the overdrive shift pattern as well. Looks a lot better but the lens covering is scratched pretty good so ill have to find a new one. I did install another steering column as well. Its been pretty slow progress due to lack of funds but its getting there.

Well i got a couple new pics. The first is just my tailgate swap. The smooth tailgate is off of my fist square body i owned. Been keeping it for some reason i dont know why lol. The second is just playing around. Do you think i can tuck these tires?

Thanks guys! I also picked up some new 73-80 inner fenders monday so i will let you guys know how they fit. The wheel arc is about two inches higher than the 81-87s so should give me more clearence!

Ya it was way cheap, i found it on ebay here in town. Factory a/c and power steering. Front end is completely rebuilt, new motor, heater core and blower motor,,, new tires all kinds of stuff. Couldnt pass it up
