I picked up some new Toyo MT 35x12.5x18 and some craigslist Eagle Alloys. With my big brake upgrade (14"+ front rotors) I wasn't comfortable with the 17" rims for clearance. I may paint them black with a red lip.

Re: New to me 1972 K5
Ordered a power steering reservoir. I swapped out the standard tank on the power steering pump for a remote style with a -10 AN fitting. This tank is baffled and has the matching -10 AN return. Will probably mount it off the accessory drive next to the alternator, just above the PS pump...

Re: New to me 1972 K5
I wish I had more progress to report. There is a car show this weekend, and it was another deadline that wasn't met....
I did end up with a Jeep Grand Cherokee fan that's a true dual wind motor for two speeds. MOPAR part number 52079528AD or Dorman part number 620-041. I saw a couple of single speed fans that fit into the factory shroud. For now Ill probably use the existing shroud but It would be too hard to make a custom bracket out of aluminum to replace the plastic one.... |

Re: New to me 1972 K5
So I got an update saying that body alignment is complete. Oil coolers and radiator is mounted. Fuel is plumed but need to be tested for leaks (custom tank too). Brakes are plumed. Electrical is also finished. Needed a couple pieces to finish exhaust.
Hope to fire it up by the end of the week.... |

Re: New to me 1972 K5
We're in the process of buying a house so I haven't really checked to see if there was any progress. Then I received an email on January 21st asking a question about the exhaust. I guess he's making some progress, but with the pending move I haven't pushed. I'm going to have to make sure the garage is ready for the Blazer.

Re: New to me 1972 K5
What accessories are you running on your motor and did you use the stock brackets?
