Interest in 6 cyl. parts

I have a 6cyl that's about to go to scrap. Just wanted to know if anyone needs any parts. No p.s. or air, or pulleys.

68 short step 09-08-2005 09:51 PM

do you have the 'elbow' that the thermostat houseing mounts to? the piece that actually bolts to head.

uncle 09-08-2005 09:53 PM

Elbow

I'll check tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure it's there.

68 short step 09-08-2005 09:59 PM

is it free plus shipping?

Jakes-66-K10 09-09-2005 12:56 AM

V6 or I6?

shifty 09-09-2005 01:20 AM

If it's functioning, i'll take it. I got two other ones sitting on my floor right now. Can you give me a PM? I can come pick it up, I live in town by the capitol building.

6 Parts

Elbow is there has sending unit init( CORRECT?). $5 plus shipping, but no more than $10 total, l6 for votex, and I don't know the running condition, but does turn over. I have removed intake and exhaust already.

68 short step 09-09-2005 05:13 PM

Engine

Shifty just picked up the engine. Thanks for the response.

shifty 09-09-2005 11:17 PM

Guys, I've got the engine. 68shortstep, I've not only got the one currently on the engine, I've also got a spare that I've cleaned up. Are you talking about the thermostat housing or the ball-shaped thing that connects to the radiator hose on the other side of the thermostat?

Shoot me a PM. I promised uncle I'd take care of it for you.

ndamerau 09-10-2005 09:35 PM

I am looking for a stock 250 6 cyl air cleaner top (mine has been goobered) and heat riser tube (missing in action) for my 69 C-10. I am also looking for a clutch pull rod and 3 speed shift linkages (really need the 1st/reverse). Might you have any of these items? What the heck, what shape are the intake/exhaust manifolds in? It might be good to have some good spares.

Thanks.

Parts

I'll check on Monday to see if I have any of those. This Sub was an automatic.

Looked today, no luck. I have a few more places I'll check tomorrow. You can check with Shifty about the intake and exhaust, because he got those when he picked up the engine.

Breather

I have the breather top, bottom and piece that goes to valve cover. $20 + shipping.

Blue_71 09-13-2005 08:30 PM

if yall dont mind me chiming in, i have two good intake/exhaust manifolds for a 250 6 cyl

Huck 09-14-2005 07:25 AM

Ain't it amazin how popular 6 bangers get when the price of gas goes up!! All you need is a nice tight one hooked up to a 700R4 and some 308 gears---then hit your right foot with a big hammer so it swells up three times it's normal size and you will probably get 25mpg!hehehehehe

ndamerau 09-15-2005 10:30 AM

I assume that "the piece that goes to the valve cover" is the metal spacer with the rubber hose and metal elbow that fits in the valve cover? I really need the metal heat riser tube and air cleaner top. Thanks for looking. I will see if I can get both pieces in one deal, since shipping on parts from two sources will cost as much as the parts themselves.

Thanks again.
