Even so, I think the concern would be without the engine sensors working, would the PCM go into "limp" mode, thus causing the trans to not shift properly? I think more research (or others chiming in) is required. I know you really want to hear that it will JustWork, but I have reason to believe that it won't be that easy.

If no one else chimes in, looks like you need to give it a shot and report back.
