I've run 285/75s and liked them. These I bought almost new for a grand from a friend with a trail built '70 Blazer who wanted bigger. I wasn't sure I did so good on that till I saw the new cost. Holy cow! All tires sky rocketed when the economy went crappy,but the bigger stuff really went through the roof. I considered backing away and using a smaller lift & tires because I doubt I'll be able to afford the next set. But,heck with it. I'm moving forward and if I can't afford the next set I'll downsize when the time comes. I'm pretty sure I have a rear driveshaft that's the right length,so I'll stash the stock one when I do the lift

And jrdv,that's about what I want once I'm done with the bigger stuff,2"-4" lift with maybe 255/85s or 285/75s on Ford wheels or 4" lift,35/10.50s on 8".
