what is the best way to repair the front header panel of a cab?
the cab I have has rust on both sides above the wind sheild behind the sunvisors. We have limited experience in welding in that kind of area. is it easier to cut out the small spots that are bad and replace with fresh metal. or is it easier to cut out the whole front header panel and relace it with the one that LMC offers for $100 bucks? i really dont want to use bondo... but will if i have to. does any one have pics of theirs being repaired? i dont want to make it worse then it is.....

In my honest opinion if you have significant rust and rot-through in this area of your cab- you will be money and time ahead to just either swap the entire cab or cut the roof @ the a-pillar and across the back and replace with a rust-free roof section from a parts truck.

the rust is only behind the visors. and its only pin holes in some places but it has half inch in width holes in some places. But there is still good metal there..

I`d go for the whole panel replacement.Replacing pieces will take more skill.Alot of labor. And,this way you know you got all the rust.

Re: what is the best way to repair the front header panel of a cab?
you don't have to use the entire patch panel either. You could trim it for what you need...
I have a few pinholes there as well but not sure how to handle it yet..
