This is a factory 4 wire switch that was used in the later trucks beforr they went to column mounted dimmer switch columns. It's the only NOS one I have ever had, and before anyone asks, no, it's not for sale.
I don't want to hijack...but I have that same factory switch...

Re: 4 wire cruise switch

Thanks LS1,

My mechanic friend has it currently so I will pick it up in a few days and take some pics.. I also located a highly referred steering column specialist in Anahiem named Felipe of OC Steering and he says he has all the parts I need to make this work.. My friend discovered the bearings are shot so it may need to be rebuilt a the same time.

Re: 4 wire cruise switch

If your lever looks like the one A1971Blazer posted in post#26 then it will work, however most of those levers are only 3 wire and need to be converted to 4 wire.

This was from your old post...but do you happen to still have any of these labels?

Yes, I still have them, but your lever looks pretty nice already? PM me if you want more info on them.

Now that I look more closely at mine...you're right..it's pretty good
putting it on a 50 year old truck...it might look out of place with a nice bright clean label
Thanks for your opinion and your help...!

Re: 4 wire cruise switch

If you're restoring the whole truck then it may be worth it. In order to use them though, you need to paint the lever black so it doesn't show a difference in colors between the decal and the plastic. I use single stage enamel with gloss hardener and it's dark enough that you cannot tell that it is a sticker, but have put one on an unpainted lever and it looked terrible, way to obvious.

Does that mean there is no way I can get my mine to work with cruise control for my 5.3 Vortech…? I sure hope I don't have to look for another steering column...
PM sent !! You didn't mention what year engine you had.
