The gauge mounts so simple right to the front bezel with a plastic screw on ring. As for wiring it, you need power, ground and the signal connections along with the dash light connections. I am going to tap off the ground screw for all the grounds, off the temperature gauge feed screw for power (need to figure out which side) and run a lead from my hei dist. for the signal. You can also use a signal from a alternator lead. The lights I will just tap into the wire for the dash lights on the harness. You end up cutting one line of the circuit board but it's just the ground line. I cleared the plastic off and re grounded the one side with the screw you see in the pic
