Re: Rear Ends

Mine were bent too, I bent them over with a BFH. If yours are that far gone, your better off going back to the wrecking yard. Got any pics?

We got it out from under the car in 20 minutes would of been faster but we only had one socket set. Next time I go I'm taking a rattle gun and be done in 5 minutes

Re: Rear Ends

Well i can't think of a good reason that would make you need them. they just protect the back of the rotor from debris and water. looks better with them than without IMO

Not to sure how I'm gonna fix that part yet. Hey did your axle come with a little connector pin that's on top of the housing. Anyone know what this is for

It has a yoke with a flange that bolts to it. 10x better than a regular old school chevy yoke that just has straps over the caps IMO, this way the caps cant fall off and lose all the needle bearings when you drop the drive shaft

That 372 # on the ring gear sounds promising but dont quote me. Cant you just put chalk marks on the brake rotor and the yoke and count them?

Re: Rear Ends

Some states you have to have a e-brake. I think having one is a good idea, but it's up to you. the truck will run just fine without it.
