Alternative heater in AD
I bought a BL mini heater, checked it worked, pulled it apart & painted it/fitted s/steel screws.

Under the dash on the bulkhead there's 2 channels running upwards & at an angle, these have 2 holes in them 1 near the top & 1 near the bottom. I enlarged the holes at the top to about 3/8" & put a 6mm rivnut in there. I then made up some brackets to hold the heater. I haven't run any hoses in yet

Looks good. It should put out plenty of heat for the truck cab too.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around. |
