Cross member swap
Hey to get that cross member to work did you just drill new holes in the engine mount bracket and use the original cross member holes ?

Two of the original holes are used: See the bolt head on the top of the frame rail that is on the left, that is one hole, the other hole is the bolt head inbetween the shock and bumpstop bracket. So with the engine bolted to the tranny, still hanging from the cherry picker, I bolted the two frame horns useing only the two bolts I just mentioned, snug not torqued down. Then I bolted the engine mounts to the engine. Next is to get the engine mount bolted to the frame horns.(still no drilling) Then bolt the crossmember it self to the frame horns(not the frame). Still the only bolts actually in the frame are the original two holes perside(no drilling yet), OH ya I did drill out the original holes cuz I upgraded the bolt size from stock. Anyway once you get the crossmember in like that then whip out your favorite drill and start drilling holes, somthing like 16bolts all together to hold that sucker down. Now you have a crossmember that will alow you to drop the oil pan with no engine movement needed Hope this made sence if not let me know Burt
