Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?

That guy behind the truck with the red wheels loves his rake so much he's dancing a jig Everyone of those has a great stance.

I'm kind of suprised that nobody weighed in on the nose up look. I guess really that's more of a Kustom look anyway I suppose. I did see a show where Jesse James built a drag car or something and his was nose up. I remember him saying that was what he felt a hot rod looked like so I figured there must be others but I guess not

haha, i think he's just leaning on something...as for the nose up look, i would assume you're referring to the Gasser look....like this? there are better examples, but this is a '64 C10 model version (not mine)

Nah I wasn't thinking Gasser's (those are cool though) I meant the tail dragging look you see in california alot.

Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?

saw this truck when i first got on the site and ive always loved the stance - this to me is straight hot rod and hopefully the stance i can achieve when i can finally drop coin on spindles for my 85 disc/xmember conversion

id love to do a SWB gasser version of our trucks one day but my LWB is getting the rake treatment

I lowered the front today, plan to lower the rear to match as soon as soon as the hurricane blows thru.

Actually SulphuriousSam, He was on crutches after an accident... I have talked with him about that picture and at the time (If he could've), he would've been dancing a jig!! If I remember correctly, it was just back from the paint booth.

Nice "rides" on here all. Here's a pic of mine. I'm not sure of the drop on this as the PO did it. It needs to come down a bit more in the front to suit me.

lil sahara 450r, the wheels are 15x8 and the tires are 235/60r15 front and rear. the rears are a little skinny for my taste but they work for now
