Please Help With Axle Price!!
I have a Dana 44 high pinion 8 lug Ford front axle. Haven't had a chance to check gear ratio yet. It would need the brakes, ujoints, and ball joints gone threw. The only thing I see messed up is someone put a newer outer with small lockout on passinger side. Driver's side is still original large external hub. I know some people are using them on 1988 and up solid axle swaps. And it will be for sale. Thank's Jason.

$600? Not for what he described, since it needs a lot of work. I would say around $200-$250 would be a good deal for it.
$600 is starting to edge into dana 60 territory.

Thank's 69GMC, that's what I had in mind. But I was unsure about it. I'll have to check gear ratio next. This board is my favorite, friendly people with alot of knowledge of the trucks and parts. Thank's again Jason.

yeah, i guess i forgot all the rockcrawling action is out west where you are...I was just thinking of 2 dana 60's i have seen for sale recently, a GM for $700 in PA and an early 90s Dodge for $700 in Michigan.
tim m, you may want to save the drum brakes on that if they are any good...'70 was a one year only deal, and ppl wanting to keep the drums up front can't buy them new anymore.
