Well...I sold my '87

My 87 really wasn't getting much attention so I cleaned it up and placed it in the auto trader. It sold the first day! The guy who bought it had previously owned a beautiful 85 with 20s that was stolen, stripped, and recovered. I know that my truck went to another owner that will appreciate the value and quality of these trucks.

The hardest part was taking one last picture of my son in "his" truck.

I don't know what my next project will be but I am leaning towards a 2wd blazer.

it will be missed...

I know how you feel, I have mine for sale too and I hate to see it go. I pray I get lucky and sell it to somebody that will take good care of it.

How much did you list if for? how much did you sell it for? (if you dont mind saying)

I had it listed for $5500 OBO. I sold it to the first guy who called, but I had 4 others call before I went to meet the first guy. One offered me $5000 not to go meet him. Well I went anyway and walked away with $4800 dead green presidents. It was hard, but I love the smell of cash.

Damn, thats hard to hear. That was one of my favorite 87's. Are you looking for a 67-72, 73-80 or 81-91 Blazer?

I am thinking that I'll go 73-80 Blazer? I just don't know yet...

Jeff, maybe I'll have one by the next truck show in Pigeon Forge.

4800 is a steal for being on 20s... especially with you only starting the price out at 5500

It was a nice truck, but to be "Finished" it needed alot of TLC. I wasn't in the right frame of mind to offer the truck what it needed. Hopefully the new owner will.

What'd it need? Didn't look like it needed paint, interior isn't that big of a deal when it looks clean on the outside and is on 20s.

WAX is your friend when taking pictures of a truck that needs paint. For me, it needed body work (smooth bed rails, cab seam, patch moulding holes, smooth tail gate, etc) and paint.

From looking at the pictures of your truck...If I had it selling here in Atlanta I would definitely up the price!

If I was to have finished mine I was going to paint it silver. Hummm...maybe I should just buy yours? Na, the wife would kill me if I brought home another 73-87 this soon.

That truck sold because it was sittin' on 20s. ESPECIALLY in atlanta with all the hype that rap has brought to that city and how much they talk about 20s+ in their music.

That's a weird statement considering I am a 32 year old, "redneck", white, male and I sold it to a guy who is just like me but probably 2 - 3 years younger.
