6.2 Diesel ?
Friend of mine has a few trucks with the 6.2 One is an 84 CUCV Blazer The other is an 83 K10 Shortbed Both had TH-400 The Blazer will run circles around the other Are they turned up more for the military?
Anyone have any info on how to Crank up a 6.2? Any info would be apreciated. |

There were 2 different versions of the 6.2. "J" and "C" code . The "J" code 6.2 had 160hp and 255ft lbs of torque. The "C" code 6.2 had 130hp and 240ft lbs of torque. All military vehicles got the "J" code motor. Military also had better gearing. I believe the Blazers were 4.10's and the trucks were 4.56.

Just crank the fuel screw inside the pump up till you can't stand the smoke. if the k10 is stock it will have a light duty 1/2 ton fuel setting, along with the intake manifold will have egr, which needs to be thrown away in favor of a heavy duty unit in short order. The CUCV trucks are like the one tons and 3/4 ton as far as fuel delivery goes, there is also a different advance piston in the injection pump. I'm in the area let me know if there's anything you need, knowledge of parts wise. I do have a heavy duty intake that I no longer need if your buddy is interested. The k10 shortbed will also have a 3.08 rear end unless it's been changed along with a 700r4 not a turbo 400.

It has been changed to a TH-400 the 700 was burnt out .. I will tell him about the parts man thanks

M1009 will have 3.08s not 4.10s as was previously stated. its just a basic blazer with a 6.2/400/208 and 10 bolts at both ends.
