What did you get done?

I was on call this weekend so I got "nothing" truck related done. I burnt two tanks of gas trying to keep machines repaired.

saturday i did very little in the way of trucks i had a road call and then i was so close to AC i drove down there for a while. Sunday was the day i worked on trucks. I installed the quartz clock i had bought a while ago from tommy, changed a bulb or two in the dash and did the tranny mount on the truck that was on its way out for a while now. I also put front brakes and rotors on the dodge van ( need a right caliper i found out but too late for the parts house)and front shocks on the ranger... rear shocks next week..we fooled a little with the monte carlo but being its motor is running well we didnt do too much i have a set of shocks for that to throw in the back and im in the process of getting a tranny for it which is prolly going to be next weeks fiasco
I really think its time to buy a new fleet of vehicles im getting tired of working on them lol

had guard and drove 45min sat to get my father-in-law parts to fix bro-in-laws truck still didnt fix it but i think i know what is wrong.... just dont want to drive the 1.5hrs to get there...

Worked 9.5 hours on Saturday w/ digging a 50' ditch 18" deep being the highlight of that day.

Sunday---Washed my dad's Impala and have been relaxing since.

No motivation to finish my truck.....

made a bracket from sheet metal to hold my jaz recovery tank and mounted the 6al box to the fender, still waiting on the distirbutor to come in so i can finish the ignition

I replaced the outer door handle on my 96 early Saturday morning. I hate new trucks. Engineers should be shot for the way some things are put in. It sure is easier with the 82 and the 70. Mowed the yard, then took the kids and wife to see the Incredibles. Very cool movie BTW. Today I assembled a parts cart for the shop, moved some spare parts to the old shed and did the typical Sunday afternoon catchup on homework.

well well well... another productive weekend here, but i started a day early. got my Dana 60 in and put the bed back on. it actually looks kinda like a truck now. i started to put my dash back together. i stripped all of the AC components out of it a few weeks back and made a cover so that i could put a stock heater box in it. while attemting to put the box on the inside of the firewall i snapped one of the mounting tabs off of it, so that ended my progress there. made some parts scores this weekend too. scored a 14 bolt FF rear from a friend, im going to use this one to put my 4.56 gears in, shave it, install a locker and disc brakes. also scored a set of 56" rear leaf springs, which i will use to replace the stock 52" leaf springs out back. worked a deal on a heater box from a friend, and picked up a set of Grand Am bucket seats to go in it. spent today downing trees and carting wood all over town.

grand total investment for the weekend, $35.

I spent the weekend raking leaves, cutting grass once more before winter and cleaning the shed so we could get to the snowblower, but on a brighter side I am up to 750lbs of sandblasting sand on my baby, yippee

i didn't do anything to red at all, i need to get a tailgate handle flip kit so i can drop my tail gate of at my friends house to get it all shaved up, and then dents pulled from the bed if thats not messed up to bad, still thinking i need to get another truck though....

Sold my 75 Jimmy Sunday for $2500.

Long week. I couldn't manage to sell it for $4k with a ton of expensive parts. I had it posted since may. Out of the blue I got a E-mail last Wednesday saying they wanted to buy it. I had listed it for $2k without a lot of the goodies. Problem was the Goodies were still on it. So starting Wednesday night I had to work non stop to get it down the the way it was wanted to match the price. That included driving over 160 miles (long story but ended up having to make two trips to complete the deal) to secure some used 33's for $150 so I could keep my nearly new 35's and rock crawler rims.

Guy made out. I had planed on putting the old Carb back on and keeping my electric choke carb. Got a $400 Mile marker shaft replacement part time kit for free as well. Didn't have time to get them off before he got here. He paid extra for the STC soft top, Disc brake rears and the Quick disconnects.

Keep any eye out I have a bunch of loose parts I will be posting soon including some close ratio steering boxes and ORD goodies. I have some stuff on E-Bay as well under ebay store Company_Monkey.

Thought I would be more tore up about selling it. I guess it was time. Catch up on some other projects like my LeMans and Aristream. Get a new truck project next year.

what dizzy are you getting? where on the fender did you mount your box to? and i have a jaz recovery tank too!! but its just sitting in the garage along with the crane vaccum canister.

Finally finished the custom front bumber + how it connects to the fenders.

Plus cleaned up the garage a bit, installed the garage stereos onto the wall.
Installed ventilation system to the garage, no more odd smells to the house.
Now all the smells etc. go straight out.

its a dave ray small body distirbutor that dave is setting up specifically for my truck and will be msd trigger. i mounted the 6al on the passenger innner fender. i just wish the distributor would hurry up and get here, i can't get on it too much because when i shift it will start to spin again and the tach will shoot up to 6500 before i have time to do anything, need that rev limiter so i don't keep over reving

i could never get mine to spin the tires when it shifts gears i still think i need to tune my carb a lot

anyways, i think you've probably got your 6al the same spot mine is in. what rev limiter are you putting in there? i've got a 7000 in there now, because the only one i have under it is 6000 and i dont feel like spending 30 bucks on a pack of 4 different ones. i would love to find a 6400 or 6500 to use.

My birthday weekend (Nov 5), so i did a bunch of truck work.
I changed air filter, PCV valve, crankcase breather filter, changed my oil and oil filter, added some tranny fluid, changed my headlights, and cleaned my bezels while they were off. Today I am TRYING to change my shocks, but it aint happenin. Waitin for the old man to get home....

Worked 13 hours sat & dropped my big block in the frame when I got home. Sunday I cleaned the garage a little & got my wood stove in place. Now I just need to get it plumbed before the weather turns to s**t...corn

Got the interior cleaned and ready to lay the carpet and install the bench seat. Will be sanding/priming/painting all interior panels in the next few weeks.

I got a hidden hitch installed. We used the hitch from a Burb and modifed it to fit behind the license plate of my stepper. The installation worked out real well, the hitch is invisible from the rear and has plenty of ground clearance (truck is lowered 3" and 5"). Best part was the price, $50 e-bay deal.
