I'm not sure why you want a fuel cell, but the intall looks good. I assume you cleaned and painted everything before you put the bed back on...

Looks good.
Any pictures from the back with the fuel cell and roll pan installed?

Why didnt you fix that hole your father left?
I would also recommend painting the new installed steel to avoid rust.
What do you plan to do for the filler hole you cut?

I got 15' for $50, then a few fittings to run it from the cell to the pump, for $25. 15' is PLENTY of line for our trucks, BTW.
oh yeah, forgot we were dealing with these RACE trucks!! haha, i would think that a baffled tank would be alot better.

The cell I got has the foam. The cell my friend had on his truck, did NOT have the foam (he's a dumb kid that no one really likes).
I put the fuel cell on my truck, for a few reasons
1.) Weight transfer
2.) Looks
3.) Stock fuel tank sender was broken
4.) Safety

Hopefully, now, with everything done on my truck, I can get that 14 out of it (should be quite possible) That's the goal for this motor, somewhere in the 14's. (a 14 second truck, around here, can take out just about any other truck/import.)

Look on my other thread, with the finished picture.
It's been there for 30 years now without a problem, so, I figger, why bother fixing it.
I'm going to make a custom lid.

The blazer tank looks really close the the rear diff cover to me, however it does fit nicely. I really like that fuel cell install, wish I would have done that before I painted so I could have smoothed the bedside.

what do you beleive the benefits are going to be over your stock tank in your case??

how much work was it to install that 30 gallon tank in your truck,how much did it cost you for that tank and all the goodies to install it and is it possible for the neck that comes with it to be ran to the stock fuel filling location or would that be to much work-sorry to jack this thread im just curious.

I can't answer for Tim, but I did mine mainly because I wanted to shave the gas filler door and also to put more weight over the rear wheels (for when I go to the track).
