I totally agree about getting the welder from your shop. My local shop remembers me, and they are some great guys there. If it breaks, or I need something for it, I know I can count on them to get me straight, rather than dealing with people that I don't know and who don't realyl give a rip about me or my business.
That said, I got my Millermatic 175 from my local shop for around 680 I think, it was a little more than what I would have paid online, but support your local guys, once they go out of business, we all will be SOL to get gas/supplies etc.
