Headers for my '67 3/4Ton 4X4?
I would like to know if anyone out there has installed exhast headers on a 67' 3/4Ton 4x4? If so, are there any problems with plug, steering or frame clearance? What brand of headers did you use, part numbers?
Thanks! ~Boone Be American, Buy American, Drive American! |

I have headers on mine and the only clearance problems I encountered were with the clutch linkage. I have a BBC in it and tried Hooker Headers first and absolutly could not make them fit. However Flow Tech, truck headers fit nicely with ample clearance except in the clutch cross shaft area. I had to dent the tube slightly to get it to clear but if your running an automatic I dont think you would have any problems, especially if you have a SBC as well.

not sure if theres a difference since mines a 70 but im running a small block and used duramax headers and they rubbed on the clutch linkage at the pivot point so i rebent the clutch linkage instead of dimpling header.
