Unhappy bigunde

PM'd me that he wanted a q-jet I was selling that needed a rebuild, price was $25 plus shipping, I made it an even $35. That was 11-23-04. At the same time I had two other carbs going to Kentucky and Wisconsin. I received their MOs and wanted to get the carbs in the mail. Still had not received MO from Derrick. I fedex all three carbs on 11-30-04, Derrick got the carb on 12-4-04. Still no money order. I've reminded him 2 more times since then; once he thought his wife sent it(12-8) and on 12-15 he said he just sent it. Better late than never received a check on the 20th, post marked the 17th.

He's posted a 327 block for sale on the 67-72 Parts board this evening.

Did not want to go that route. The experience was what it was.

Please read the code of conduct for buying and selling...

XI. If you have a problem with a buyer, contact that forums Administrator. Do not bring the problem into the forums.

I had the same issues with him. Claimed to send money, and never did. I finally received a mo from him (about a month after the original deal) and i couldn't read his writing so i pm'ed him to get his address for shipment, and up to this moment, no reply. I really hope he treats his customers better than he treated me. Beware.

I know that we are not supposed to bring the problems to the Review board, but i believe that if this is his pattern of behavior, all members should have the opportunity to know who their dealing with before they get themselves into a deal like ours.

Thanks for the warning. Looks like he has the same poor seller traits on eBay too.

Interesting!!

I'm glad we have this form for reviewing things. I'm in Western Canada and Bigundec is in Florida. I was dealing on a posi unit he had for sale last week and was going to make him an offer (he had a posted price in the ad) but now I won't. Too much doubt about this guy so I'm walking away. Thanks again Josh for this site and these forums..

Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

noone said you couldn't... the point is (and this is no way directed towards this issue or any others just the question) if you are having an issue with another member in a transaction, if it is brought to an admins attantion, that person can be stopped from doin it to someone else. Most times the issue is worked out quickly...
