Cool

welcome form Louisiana, hope you enjoy it here. you are in the best palce to find a truck (TEXAS). i've bought my last 3 rides in houston or dallas. i think there are more trucks in texas than in any 2 states put together.

Welcome Denny from a fellow Texan.

I know at least four short fleet sides are in Texas becouse I own them. I might consider selling one of them to finish another truck I have started. It is a 68 with power windows, 5 inch chop top,400 sb, auto, power disc brakes, shaved handles, and a whole bunch more great stuff, but it is still a project with lots of things to be done yet.
Just email or instant mesage if you are interested.and welcome again.

Welcome from Dallas. There were a couple of swb in the truck trader as of last week when I looked. I've got 2 fleetsides + another swb leaf frame so I know they are out there.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

yea, ive been looking as hard as i can.

i know a couple of people with these bodystyle trucks, and thats what has me interested in them.

chevyman 68c/10.
i am not interested in a chop top, just never liked them, too radical. thanks for the offer though.

been looking in the autotrader/classic/and truck, havent found one that was decent that i could afford.

been looking on ebay, and through the paper also.

when i was in high school, i had a 82' gmc short/wide that i did numerous amounts of work to, including a 4.5/6 in drop.

thanks for all the welcomes.

Wow, when I was in Tx you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a SWB 67 - 72. Get aholed of a thrifty nickle from the Fort Hood area. Just be sure you aren't getting a bondo'd Ohio truck. They import rust buckets to military areas.
Welcome to the board from Columbus ohio.
