Looking for Hard Top Pieces

I am in the process of restoring a double wall top and have a couple questions. 1) I have no key for the hatch handle - are there replacement lock cylinders made for these? Are there entirely new handle assemblies out there? I thought I remember reading a thread were someone mentioned new handle assemblies. 2) I am missing the striker plates for the hatch that bolt to the bottom of the rear top opening (plates that allow the hatch to catch on to and remain closed). I have not been able to find these aftermarket. Anyone out there have a set they would be willing to part with? Thanks in advance.

Go to the hardware store and pick up one of the generic garage door handles, they are nearly identical and require only the inner shaft to be cut down in order to fit.

This is NOT what you are looking for (it goes on the hatch)? Unfortunately this and the actuation rods are all the extra parts I have left.

rekey yours

If your handle is in decent shape take out the handle and have locksmith rekey (remove inside cover and it will be obvious how to remove handle only). I had that done for I beleive $12 then come to find out lock was gumed up and ignition key was a match already. They had made an aftermarket garage door type key blank work but this one was setup as GM made it. Worked smooth after that.

Parts

Gee Emm - Yeah I thought of that, but I want as original as possible.

Badpeanut - No not the right piece. I have those on the hatch. I needed the catches that mount to the top. Thanks though.

Cheyenne10 - Rekeying may be a good option. I wasn't sure if the locks were rekeyeable or not. I will look into that.

Pound41 - I'm checking E-bay now. Thanks.

I am the current owner of the rig Cheyenne10 is talking about and the ignition key works better than the keys he had made.

One of the vendors is selling reproduction handles, but I can't remember which one. Check brothers (http://brotherstrucks.com/). FYI, Mothertruckers has the fiberglass hatch for around $385 (no glass or hardware).

Let me check, I think I might have an extra pair.
I'll post a pic when I find them to make sure it's what your looking for.
