Just installed a set of 1965 461 heads on my 350 and am wondering what sparkplugs I should use with these heads. Engine has dished pistons, rv cam, HEI dist, and 650 Holley spreadbore.

The R45TS are 5/8" tapered seat plugs. These heads use the 13/16" plugs with a gasket. I'm just not sure what number to use with the HEI dist.

I would try a R44S The S is for an extended tip. Try the gap about .038 with the HEI

Thanks kwmech. I was thinking about the R45S since the R45TS in the old heads seemed to be the right heat range. Just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something.
