What did you get done?

It's already Sunday evening again. I worked all weekend so I didn't do much of anything. I guess the most truck related thing I did was wash a couple of mine.

What did you get done?

Friday I put a new fuel filter in my truck, friday night my truck died, saturday I walked to work and its -5 outside, sunday I worked on taking the tilt column and other parts out of my burb then I went and bought a 90 corsica to be my new very own personal DD so I don't mess up my old man's stuff anymore and cuz I need a car that gets good mileage to go to school. So basically all i did was blow a lot of $$$ that I wish I could've spend on my truck.

Well was sort of a busy weekend (busy with prior engagements, nothing exciting) but I did goto the pomona swap meet and picked up a nice complete HEI for $40 since Ive been having some lame problems with my current accel HEI.. Swervin is helping me get em figured out since hes the resident advance curve expert (thanks again, mike)

I will go thru this unit and clean it up and do whatever necessary.. the accel hei is a lost cause....

Picked up my engine pieces from my engine builder. Hope to get it assembled asap, painted, and back in the truck.

I had no idea cast iron big block cylinder heads weighed so much...geesh! I have lifted small block heads, and they felt light compared to these things!

Cleaned up more mud and debris and re tarrred the roof on the game room... put new brakes and rotors on the front of the 82 1/2 ton washed all the mud from underneath it and washed and waxed it and the Yukon. Ohh yeah and sat and stared at the crew cab for a long time thinking of soem great ideas for the intereior and what to shave off etc.... The rest of the weekend was wasted lol
On a side note the company I work for here in Ventura County just donated 40-50 late model low mileage vehicles to the victims of LA CONCHITA.... the town is 10 miles from where I live and some of the people that lost there homes were my friends and had no insurance......

well i didn't do anything this weekend, but last weekend i corrected the horrid dent someone put in my passenger front fender. It isn't as good as new, but its less noticeable. Also screwed some screws in the sheet of plywood acting as my bed so the cinderblock holding it in wouldn't slide, now i can ride with the tailgate down Better MPG heh heh

I received a 81 bumper. OOOOOHHHHHH!!! I need to still reset the timing and get it inspected. It's just been too cold for me even in the garage.

Yesterday I installed some 4" lift spindles on a 2wd NBS that I had previously installed some 1.5" coil spacers on.

Man I would kill for some 32 degree temps. I think it was 9 yesterday and today it will be -5 to -10 with windchill. At least Big Bird fired right up though. She looks good with the new dash bezel on. Wife's van went to the brake shop and the dog is going to the vet. Whoohoo!

Took the truck to emissions. This time I took it to the one on 23rd ave and Peoria. Passed without a problem, readings were 25% of allowed. Passed so well they never even got out of second gear. It was probably running on the dyno for 20 seconds or so. The only thing I changed from before was the idle screws on the front of the carb. EGR not stumbling anymore, but truck still runs rough. Its about time I took it, my tags expired back in Sept. 04. After the last time I went to emissions in Oct/Nov. 04 I didnt feel like going back. It all worked out and tags should be in the mail.

Need to change the heater core. Its been leaking for a week or so.
Bought some clutch pedal bushings and the sleeve to try and take the slop out of it. Didnt get anything really done on the truck though.

It's too cold to work on the truck right now.

Got some nasal polyps removed and now have about 2 pounds of gauze stuffed into my skull....not happy.
