Well for starters the seller doesn't want to ship to Canada as he states "US buyers only"...and I believe your a Canadian Member from Sarnia right? Other than that I'm prolly not the best judge of quality of used parts.
You have a sweet truck. What options does it have? Brian

tilt column
hey guys,
i have looked all over the place. everywhere around here. only thing i can find that is decent is about 175.00 from soneone on here. forget the persons name. but he sells a load of columns. i missed out on a brand new gm van column New GM old stock went for 253.00 or something. just put in a higher bid an time ran out. i was so mad. so i dont know what to do. my truck is alright, its an original Cheyenne. its in great shape. 350 with Turbo 350 transmission no air. no tilt no tach. i love the truck the colour is original and it has a steel bed. i think im forgetting other options. its not here stored away for the winter. as for the no shipping to canada i live right on the board and i have a mail place to ship that column too. joel

Tilt column
Check the parts board, members sell them quite often. Keep it in the family.

Joel,
Van tilts can wear in some critical locations and you cannot see the problems from a picture. Two particular ones are the detent on the shift lever and the pin holes in the shifter housing. The shift lever is available new but the housing is not. Oversize pins can be made by a good machinest but the shift lever is hardened and oversizing the hole in the shift lever is a problem. I would suggest talking to Rod as he is good to deal with and you will know what you are getting. Jim |
