AC cab is on the frame
We removed the old cab in November and had to do some frame repairs before installing the AC cab. Here are a few pics of the progress.
pic 1 is the frame after the mounts were repaired. pic 2 is the frame cleaned and painted, (the main cross member was removed, repaired and painted) pic 3 is the frame assembled with the engine and transmission installed, (lower "A" arms are still being worked on) pic 4 is the cab being lowered back on pic 5 the cab is bolted to the frame Jim |

This truck is our main road truck so we had to do the work in the winter so as to keep it available in the summer. We are hoping for a completion in about two months. The bed has to be repainted as it never got the white strip and the blue got some scraps from usage. Everything else is painted and ready for assembly except some of the front suspension components.
These are fun projects. We resealed the transmission and went through the engine to tidy it up, (new gaskets, seals, oil pump, timing set, different heads, etc.). We are checking everything, repairing or replacing and painting as needed. This project started as a result of my wife going with me on a road trip to North Carolina in the summer. She asked about air conditioning the truck and that was all of the encouragement that we needed! Jim |

Looks awesome. The blue and white is my favorite paint scheme, too.
