I have a 1 ton with a 4 speed tranny w/no overdrive. Need one with overdrive. Anyone have a good one they are willing to part with. Thanks in advance!

no such animal from the factory. the only manual trans used in C/K trucks at that time was the SM465. look into a 92+ NV4500

The truck is 2 wheel drive.

Thanks for the info. I just need any year manual transmission w/overdrive that will work on the truck so I can get better mileage.

I have a 2wd nv4500 but haven't made up my mind if I wanna sell it yet. That's why I asked. I kinda wanna put it in my 72.

For a nv4500 to fit your 85 you'll need to either swap to hydraulic clutch or buy a custom bellhousing from advance adapters. Or does an 85 have a hydro clutch already? I'm not sure when they started putting the hydro clutch in trucks.
