rochester quadrajet help

i dont know if the quadrajets on our trucks are the same as the ones used in 1979 but me and my little bro where rebuilding his carb the other day and only one of the air fuel ratio adjuster screws was there so i am trying to help him find one and i have had no luck so we did get the carb back toghether and on the truck but it does not run so great because we cant adjust it. if anybody has one or a parts carb that we can have for really dirt cheap or free would be even better. if it makes a difference i can get the carb number and post it up but we need help.

Er....you're missing an idle mixture screw? Yeah, I bet it runs badly. you are a crazy texan.

Check out these guys:

http://www.carburetion.com/

I used to go to these guys for my 2bbl Rochester parts. Get the numbers off the carb and contact them. It'll be easier to get it from them than it will be to try and track it down at a swap meet, or another board member without an idea of what carb it is.
