Way Cool! Air Lift for Burbs
This last Tuesday I was in Lansing, MI. I stopped at Air Lift to talk to them about their new EASYSTREET system made for 67-72 Burbs. You may have seen this in last months issue of Street Trucks? (Sorry, I get too dang many mags..) Pretty Sweet! Comes with bags, lines, fittings, etc., etc., but the cool thing is that the rear set up comes with a prefabbed C-notch! You may have seen the Voo Doo Surf Wagon which is owned by Bill Dermond on the Suburban and Panel Board. Bill works for Air Lift out in Washington, and I am pretty sure that he had a direct hand in the design of this set-up.. I talked to Sean Kersey-Sales Rep. for Easystreet, who has a sweet little "Rat Rod" 68 Stepside riding on bags..but without dropped spindles! I could not believe how low that thing was w/ just bags! Saw a couple of their project vehicles including their SEMA truck from 2 years ago. Great Bunch of guys-very friendly. And they are into our trucks! Sorry so long.. Air Lift/Easy Street sells a nice product, as does Air Ride Technologies, but you can piece together a system yourself for a lot less money. Just my $0.02.

yea i really feel like im getting ripped of on their front kit, its $500 and all you get is the bags the brackets fittings and line.
i mean everyone here can make the same brackets with a 5" pipe and cut off 3". the same front kit can be done for a little around $250... i was interested in their rear kit for 67-72 trucks but i was told i would only get a 6" drop out of it, heck im going lower than that with springs blocks and c-notch, no point in forking out an arm and a leg for a kit thats going to get me as low as a static drop will.

you can go way lower than 6 inches in the rear with bags..if you let all the air out of the bags its gonna pretty much go all the way down til it hits that axle on the frame and if you got a c-notch thats a long ways. they always advertise that as being as low as you can go but i think there wrong or thats just the recommended for when your driving. im feel the same as dropped72 does on it. why spend all that money on air bags when you can get it lower with springs and blocks..well take it easy

well out back i dont care bout bags, i mean i can practically run a 6" coil with a 2" block if i have a c-notch, or this is what im going to attempt to do. up front theres definetly a point were you can drive anymore its so low, thats where i would get bags to be able to lower it down at shows and when i park.
but for now im going to try go from my current 5/5 drop to a 5/8 or at least 5/7 drop, then id rather gets some wheels and a paintjob before i fork out on air.
