Please Help

Hey everyone please help!!!

My friends 97 atomatic pickup with the vortec 350 just died in my drive way. He pulled in and tried to make the drive but couldn't so he backed down then put in in 4-lo from 4-hi and it stalled. we tried restarting it turns over fine but does'nt even sounds like it wants to start. We also can't hear the fuel pump turn on is there a fuel relay switch on these that could have tripped? If so do you know wheere it might be? There is also a red light on the dash that keeps blinking even with the key off and out of the ignition, he's not sure if there is a security system or not if so how do we reset it? there is a fuse in the fuse box that say's security and the fuse is good. we tried unhooking the battery too see if the alarm or what ever it is would reset but nothing happend the light just keeps blinking. I borrowed the book from my brother just barely and it dosen't tell me anything so any suggestions would be appreciated because its snowin like a bastard and we got to plow!!!.
