I built a 67 pro street truck for the wife 8 years ago and she was happier than a pig in mud. It's cartooney picture is on my homepage and our logo. We made a mistake driving it to Turkey Rod Run the next year and some idiot wanted it so bad money was no object. We flew home and until i bought a 57 big window 7 years later for her it has been very cold here in Florida. Women are strange animals.

My soon to be ex would go shopping and when she came home I'd ask how much she spent. I'd then say, Ok, I'm going to Home Depot or something like that like buying car or truck parts, and I'd tell her I'll be back when I've also spent that much money.

It's all a plan---they were taught by their mothers how to get what they want!! My love muffin tolerates my passions~~`trucks etc.' When a bargin comes up, I have to build my business case justifying the "great deal". Last one resulted in enough profit to justify buying her the matching wedding ring to her engagement ring. Now it is 38 years after the fact but~~~!!!
So now when I talk about another deal, I don't have to remind her about the diamond ring. She immediately says "what ever you say darling" and then begins to hint about the next peice of jewelery she has in mind. Depending on the deal I get, her next jewelery may turn green before she gets it! Hehehehehehe |
