Vent window seal / glass / frame questions
I'm working on getting my vent windows back together. basically, i had about 6 vent windows to choose from, so i just chose the best left and best right and went from there. I tore them all apart and got new seals for them - i wanted to get the 1 piece 81-87 seals, but somehow got the 2 piece 73-80 seals...
Soooooooooooo, i'm putting the assemblies back together, i put the seals in the frame... and it doesn't seem like the glass is going to fit now??? my question is, are the seals just a better design for 81-87 or do you have to have a matched set, 81-87 seals, 81-87 glass??? or is it all interchangable? |

FYI
73-80 Frames require a 2 piece seal and have 16.5" tall glass 81-84 Frames require a difference 2 piece seal and have 15.5" tall glass 85-87 Frames require a 1 piece seal and i am not sure about glass size. To my knowledge all frames are identical except the vertical bar where the vertical portion of the seal is - the 81-84 seals have tabs that need to go through the vent assembly to attach the seal to the frame. PS - have a NOS like set of 73-80 vent windows that will be for sale - all media blasted, painted OEM black, new seals, like new glass, non tinted. |
