Can someone tell me what size the bolts are that mount the trailing arm to the crossmember. i need to replace my trailing arms and more than likely im just gonna cut the bolts off with a torch. im gonna replace the bushings and all so i aint worried about burning them up. thanks for any help.

3/4"x 4" not including the head of the bolt. 3/4"x4 1/4" including the head.

i went to lowe's & replaced mine with grade 8 bolts. the gold hue looks good with the new black paint that i painted the arms with. good luck!!

I am also thinking of replacin those bushings with poly from Energy. Do you think if you cut the bolts off that the trailering arm will drop far enough down that you can burn out the old bushings and install the new ones or will the whole arm have to be removed??

My guess is the whole arm will need to be removed. I haven't changed bushings because my new arms had good ones in them. But when i did me arms is was a very tight space. I made my life easy by removing the bed

had plenty of room then. Plus with the rear and the springs I don't know if they will move much. Try it out on one arm. Worst scenario is you have to take the arm of, which is one 1 bolt for the spring and then the U-bolt.

Heres a pic of how tight things were for me. This is after everything is back together.
