Compression
How can I check the compression on my 350. I just got a comp. tester from my grandpa that passed. Also is there an area that the ratio should fall into. It's a stock motor, the only thing that has been replaced is the carb. The higher the compression the higher the performance right?

You pull the sparkplugs and depending on the type of tester, either thread it in or the stopper type hold it in the hole and have someone crank the engine,
a even number between all the cylinders is what you want but some where in the 120 range. P.S. pull the coil wire if you dont want it starting. |
