I personally think these camper mirrors on the truck pictured are the best looking, fitting and most functional of any *tripod-type* mirror I have seen on any truck. I specially like the fact that the upper triangular arm mounts perfectly horizontal and the lower feet are right on the curve part of the door for added support as if it was designed for a 67-72 Chevy/GMC. I have seen other camper mirrors where the upper triangle angles up or down or is bent and I think those look odd. I've seen camper mirrors where the lower legs are real long and they look odd also in my opinion. These were on a Chevy camper special I parted. The glove box said "camper mirrors stainless". I held on to them because I was going to put them on my GMC camper special (which oddly came with sport style mirrors). I decided since I got rid of my boat and don't tow anything anymore, I'd rather not fill mirror holes, plus I forgot to measure the placement of the camper mirrors before I sold the doors.
Kevin...if your 71 motorhome has the truck doors, you'll like how these fit. If I kept them I would've added a 3-1/2" convex mirror on the bottom, centered on each of them. That's how I had them on a company truck and I had no blind spots.
