New guy-68 C20 owner
Just wanted to say Hi, my name is Joe and live in the lower Desert of Calif. Been a lurker for a long time. great information on this site. I have a 68 C20, our family has owned it since driving it off the lot in 1968, was is great shape, till 1986 and it was stolen and stripped to its spindles and bones, left in the southtwest Calif. Desert. got it back 2 years later in that condition, put junkyard rims and tires on it and towed him home. You just cant leave a Chevy truck behind, its family member. Slowly getting it back into shape over the years, sometimes with a really, really cheap budget. Finally have everything restored from frame up , it's a daily driver so putting it back together went slowly. Now will start on small amount of body work. No rust at all. But it has a bad and cheap paint job on it, but all one color-Chevy Blue. Has 350 engine, TH400, eaton posi 1ton rear end, standard brakes and steering. Nothing special but 1 great truck. Yes, the truck has a name its "Jake" Hence "68C20Jake"
Thank you to everyone for sharing great info. Joe ( I know you like pic's but havent figured just how to do that yet, but will work on it) |
